Meet your TDI Fellow: Adelsa Mendes

Adelsa Mendes is the MassDevelopment Transformative Development Initiative (TDI) Fellow for Chelsea, working alongside local businesses, community organizations, and public and private partners to support equitable economic development. Her work focuses on strengthening small businesses, revitalizing commercial corridors, connecting businesses with resources, and helping create a vibrant and inclusive Chelsea community.

Before joining the Chelsea TDI program, Adelsa served as a TDI Fellow in New Bedford, where she worked to advance small-business growth and community development. She previously served as Business Assistance Manager for the Brockton Redevelopment Authority and spent nearly a decade as Coordinator of Immigration Affairs at the Consulate of Cabo Verde.

Adelsa brings a hands-on, compassionate approach to her work and is committed to helping Chelsea’s businesses and residents connect with opportunities and resources.
