In 2025, Chelsea District 7 Councilor, Manuel Teshe, introduced a proposal inviting local entrepreneurs to submit business plans aimed at securing a City of Chelsea business license and launching ventures that would benefit both the owners and the community.
The Chelsea City Council approved $50,000 in funding and asked the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce to oversee the selection process in the city’s best interest. The funds were designated for the top 10 applicants, each of whom was required to present a viable business plan, deliver a 25-minute presentation to a panel of judges, and participate in a Q&A session. Out of 33 initial submissions, 15 applicants advanced to the semifinals, and 10 were ultimately selected to receive $5,000 each.
The ten entrepreneurs selected to receive the grant were:

- Two Path Child Care (Childcare)
- My Second Home Child Care (Childcare))
- Little Explorers Day Care (Childcare)
- AJC Mobile Notary & Services (Professional Services)
- ColorSeason (Custom Merchandise / Personalized Gifts)
- JW Solutions (Professional Services)
- Koffee Glow (Food & Beverage)
- Chelsea Botanicals (Retail)
- Clark Ave Productions (Creative Agency)

En 2025, el concejal del Distrito 7 de Chelsea, Manuel Teshe, presentó una propuesta invitando a emprendedores locales a presentar planes de negocio con el objetivo de obtener una licencia comercial de la Ciudad de Chelsea e iniciar proyectos que beneficiaran tanto a los propietarios como a la comunidad.
El Chelsea City Council aprobó una asignación de $50,000 y solicitó a la Chelsea Chamber of Commerce que supervisara el proceso de selección en el mejor interés de la ciudad. Los fondos fueron destinados a los 10 mejores solicitantes, quienes debían presentar un plan de negocio viable, realizar una presentación de 25 minutos ante un panel de jueces y participar en una sesión de preguntas y respuestas.
